May and June Fellowship

Life is full of surprises, isn´t it?
We want to say a big "Thank You" to Paul, Faye, Pete and Lou for bringing in a simply fantastic meal for the whole congregation to enjoy as a surprise this past Sunday, June 25. We just loved the way everyone stayed and enjoyed the surprise. Any time you want to repeat the Spring Roles, Paul, we will help you eat them!

We also want to say "Thank You" to Janae for all the wonderful ideas for fellowship she has shared with us over the last couple of years. The latest was a progressive dinner on June 11. After church we went to one house for entrees, then everyone climbed into their cars and went to the next house for salad, then back into their cars for the main dish and finally the dessert! It meant a different ambience in each house, different groups forming to visit, different places for the children to run ( or watch football - woorld cup, no less). We are very glad that the slope in the grass that made Karen´s chair tip over did not dampen Karen´s enjoyment or hurt her in any way.

We have enjoyed several different speakers this month, which is always a blessing. Our congregation has a Spanish sermon on the first Sunday of every month (with translation into English) and it is always great to get a different mix into the picture. Janae, you did a fantastic job for your first two translations. We are going to miss you this time that you will be away from us, for manay, many reasons!
